US Cartridge is recalling the following lot of 5.56 55 Grain FMJ ammunition:

Lot number can be found under the barcode on the box
US Cartridge has determined the above lot number of ammunition may contain rounds with an improper powder charge. This issue is only associated with the mentioned lot number. Improper powder charges could cause high pressure when fired, resulting in firearm damage and/or personal injury.
DO NOT CONTINUE TO USE OR SELL THIS AMMUNITION
To determine if your ammunition is subject to these notices, review the lot number on your packaging. If it matches the lot numbers above, immediately discontinue use and contact the retailer where it was purchased to receive a free UPS shipping return label. Upon receipt of confirmation that your package has shipped, the retailer will contact you to determine whether you would prefer to have your product replaced or a full refund issued.

US Cartridge has determined the above lot numbers of .223 55gr FMJ ammunition may contain propellant that does not properly ignite and burn when the cartridge is fired. Ammunition containing propellant that does not properly ignite and burn may result in a bullet remaining in the barrel (i.e., a bullet-in-bore obstruction). Firing a subsequent bullet into the bore obstruction could cause firearm damage, rendering the firearm inoperable and subjecting the shooter and bystanders to a risk of serious personal injury.
DO NOT USE OR SELL US CARTRIDGE .223 55GR FMJ FROM THE ABOVE LOT NUMBERS.
To determine if your ammunition is subject to this notice, review the lot number on your packaging.
